The Netflix film ‘Carry-On’ has now become one of the most streamed English language films ever available on the streaming platform, making waves over the recent conversations on the internet.
When I spoke to Jaume Collet Serra, the director of the film, yesterday, said, I’m more interested in people’s reaction to it than the numbers. According to him, Nobody knew that I had directed it, so I started getting a lot of calls and texts from my friends who saw my name on the credits and loved it. Since then, they’ve been texting me about it. At that moment, It dawned on me that the film was finding the right audience.
The cast of Carry-On includes Oscar nominee Taron Egerton, who can be seen playing a TSA agent working in LAX. He struggles to fend off blackmail by a mysterious traveler (played by Jason Bateman), who attempts to bring in criminal weapons to a plane heading to New York. The film also stars Sofia Carson, who plays Egerton’s fiancée. Other than them, the cast also includes Danielle Deadwyler, Theo Rossi, Dean Norris, and Tonatiuh.
Collet-Serra remains unfazed by the film’s limited release and claims not to be troubled or disheartened the way that a Great film director would be. He said We approached the creative side of the movie in the exact same way that we always do it, any playwright would, Non-Stop drew a lot of audiences for theatrical plays but now, even if I say 10 years back, would that same play draw audiences? No, not necessarily. It is simply how things are, and I am content with any way they try to get an audience. However, I have spent no effort technically or visually which is different from anything I would have done in another way.
According to Collet-Serra, there are currently no definitive plans in regard to the sequel. He added At the moment a sequel is out of option. How can one expect a sequel when the target audience doesn’t have any demand for it? If there were And if we had an idea that would spark and live up to the original we might consider our options. As of now, the options are unlimited and the potential is unfathomable.
Clark conveyed that while there is no action underway to make the sequel, imagination does set limits to the sequels. For instance,e if we look at Detective Elena Cole one could very easily develop the possibility of a movie being made about her
The action thriller Carry On as the name suggests is dedicated to the action franchise lovers that wish to experience the timeless classics that dominated the box office in the late 80s and 90s.

Shortly just before the movie was released, Egerton told me that he would be interested in there being a sequel.
