Elijah Wood, the accomplished actor is set to deliver yet again with his disarming charm, and this time it’s returning to his home country New Zealand in the movie Bookworm alongside Fisher Nell and the knowing shows beautiful New Zealand in all its glory, pure Kiwiana.

Strawn Wise a once popular illusionist is now a washed-up magician captured in the longing of his daughter Mildred. And during the New Zealand excursion with her the two of them go on a quest to find a fabled black panther.

Ant Timpson a New Zealand filmmaker, is back after a long time, and he is all set to dazzle the audience with his work in Bookworm. It is a part of the genre of comedy adventure and narrates the events with a comedic element where a father and a daughter take on a quest to prove the existence of the Canterbury Panther. The tale also strikes similarity with Timpson’s perspective related to parenthood, as he tries to create a narrative of two unusual individuals that are going through a complicated period in the New Zealand wilderness and uses his imagination to get out of it. In terms of the script and production, Bookworm strikes the right balance of drama and comedy along with the unique touch of New Zealand culture. The bond that Strawn and Mildred form on their journey and their perseverance against natural issues is heartwarming.

A well-rounded actor who cannot be easily pigeonholed is Elijah Wood and again he does a complete 180 only this time he appears as an illusionist and caretaker, Strawn Wise. In this case, playoff-wise struggle sees Strawn land in New Zealand which leads him on the path of caring for a daughter that he had neglected for over a decade, as a result, Mildred’s desire to obtain evidence of the pretend crafted panther comes into play and pushes him into the next step which is taking responsibility. Wood vividly portrays a middle-aged man grappling with the effects of a long-neglected past, only to be plunged into new unforeseen scenarios which require him to take up a ‘real’ role. In Wood’s case, this is yet another deviation from the traditional portrayal of the character but as the fans have gotten used to, he pulls it flawlessly.

Paul Wood has teamed up with Kiwi actor Nell Fisher, who is a talented young star and who does well as the bookworm. Book them too sees a proud accent to monarchy in Fisher for whom every one of her scenes as an unquiet, intellectual, and wholly unusual television set character completely takes the crown. Embracing her role as a 12-year-old, Moore is not your typical pre-teen. She has an alienated dad that she fervently dislikes and believes that to put an acquired skill into practice, it is sufficient to seek her father’s assistance. I think the audience was all about this since the unsophistication significantly improved her versatility. Wood describes Fisher’s experience as mild, round, and moderate because Fisher plays a character who outwardly looks like an educated person, whereas inside, she feels abandoned by everyone. Turner, on the other hand, Williams Sure this movie is about Mildred and traverses through her hatred to unconditional love from a father. Turner, Fisher’s on screen CP pairing contrasts with Fisher’s in Bookworm as they are no longer inseparable than A to Z. And it’s even more delicious for it because it’s so warm to feel that way.

Kiwi adventure films have all the right ingredients for comedy and emotions as a booster, and one such cucumber, quick-witted and filled with astonishment is sure to entertain. People who are tired of cliches and are searching for a truly unparalleled cinema experience should give this movie a try
