
International Media Network has bought the American rights of the animated feature “Johnny Puff: Secret Mission” which is being included by Iuvit Media Sales at the European Film Market.
Iuvit had other sales as well–in Spain (Melies), Portugal (NOS Audiovisuais), the Middle East (Front Row), Turkey (Wediacorp), German-speaking countries (Little Brother), CIS (Mint Films), Korea (AK Entertainment), and Hungary Romania and Czech Republic (ADS Service).
IMN will distribute it in theatres in the second quarter of this year. The movie is in theatres in Portugal and the Middle East at the moment with further releases in additional territories expected in spring and autumn 2024.
The film is about a puffin called Johnny Puff, who together with his friends go for a secret mission, to warn their village from an evil engineer Otto von Walrus.
The movie directed by Nestor F. Dennis draws inspiration from the series “Puffins.”
As president of IMN, Ryan Swenar stated: “We can’t wait to show it to American viewers this summer. We want to entertain families with content that can make them smile, and inform them, and ‘Johnny Puff’ is just up the alley.”
The film is edited by Cristobal Rodriguez and Nestor F. Dennis at Melies Producciones in Spain, and ILBE in Italy, with the involvement of WWPS and Evolution in the US.
Iuvit’s EFM catalogue comprises the animated films “A Giant Adventure,” and “Sato, A Dog’s Tale,” action films “Fight pride,” and “Stand your ground,” and thrillers/horrors “The reunion,” “Goldilocks and The Three Bears: Death and Porridge,” and “A Day Like a Week.”
