Is It Possible for Manel to Seek Redemption After Losing Those Dearest to Him?
Manel seemed to be leading an ideal existence he had Leah, a devoted wife who cherished him, a sister who always had kind words to say, and a young nephew who loved hanging out with his fun uncle. But recently, things began to feel tense and distant between him and Leah. There was pressure on him to settle down and start a family, but he turned down the proposition every time, saying it was not the appropriate period. Maybe, deep down, he feared that he would fail as a father. This caused Leah to believe that the flame of Manel’s affection for her was dwindling. Then, tragedy came. Manel and Leah have been unfortunate victims of a horrible accident. Manel walked out alive while Leah could not reach the hospital. In quick succession, Manel’s entire universe came down and gave him a loss that would last an eternity.
What Made The Residents of The City Become Zombies Due to The TZ Virus?
Flash forward a couple of years, and Manel is just about beginning to move on with his life after this disastrous loss, however, yet another catastrophe occurred. Manel then began hearing a great deal about the newly emerged TZ virus. Some said it was engineered in a lab, while others argued it was created with the primary purpose of exterminating people by the millions. The truth is, the virus spread really bad and fast, and countries were forming discussions about cutting off their boundaries. Fear ran rampant through the populace and people thought this was the end of everything and a miracle would be the only thing to save them.
Then, a nightmare turned into complete terror. The virus evolved and developed a mutation that reduced its incubation period to a couple of minutes. To prevent the infection from spreading, the government ordered a total lockdown of air travel. As a result, everyone was stranded within the city. As panic quickly turned into despair, people began hoarding essentials from stores and markets. Apparently, all of this was just the beginning. People find out sooner that the virus not only made them ill—it transformed them into zombies. Infected individuals acted like savages whose single goal was to bite as many people as possible.
Who is Gabriella?
Then comes an announcement from the authorities that, if the virus spread is not contained within a short range, the outbreak might soon lead to military rule over the population. This only raised the tempers further with people going to malls and stores looting anything useful to stay alive. Manel is among them, seeking for more resources. He almost turns into a zombie himself only to be rescued by a nearly dead police officer who gives him a chance to fight back. Manel however, goes home and prepares his house the way he thinks will be less easily infiltrated by zombies. The army starts evacuating people and moving them to quarantine and secure zones but Manel for some unknown reason chooses to stay.

In the course of events, he comes across a woman by the name of Gabriella. An older lady in a wheelchair and like Manel, she decided to stay in the city. Gabriella knows her way around and informs Manel of the locations of places he could invade for supplies. It’s because of her that, Manel gets acquainted to Arousa Estuary as well, where other survivors are collecting to try to sail over the Canary Islands however, Manel persuades Gabriella to join him but alas, the Manele night, Manel finds her strangles in her sleep, where she committed suicide, presuming that she did not want to live in the tainted world anymore.
Who is Victor & Ushakov?
Manel took his essential belongings, including a cat named Luculo, and went outdoors to find the pier where his boat was docked. His goal was to use that boat to trek to the island. However, things were not going to be easy for him because there were numerous zombies in the city, all of them waiting for something alive to attack. He can’t directly, so Manel decides to go through jungle cover. It seems the jungle has far more undead than the city. It was a long and arduous journey, but he had finally reached the pier only to be disappointed that all boats had already been taken away. There were only dead corpses in the vicinity still unable to escape. The good news was that Manel didn’t have to look for a boat; instead, he found a damaged inflatable boat and began to sail.
Manel eventually bumps into Ukrainians, one of whom is called Victor, who has been staying on board their ship since the war started. They also assist Manel in searching for a location to rest. On one condition, however: he must guide them to areas in the city where they might be able to find munitions and other essentials. But it does not take long for Manel to understand that these Ukrainians are in serious danger. These people were not ‘providing shelter’ out of the goodness of their hearts, they were using the remaining people as pawns and promising them safety to trap them. Whoever submits to become Ushakov’s property will live, the rest will be discarded, probably thrown overboard. Manel, assisted by Victor, manages to escape and finds refuge in a hospital full of zombies and a handful of people.

Did Manel & Victor Reach Canary Island?
Fortunately, Manel and Victor find-out that the helicopter is still at the hospital helipad although it is not going to be a walk in the park to get there. There are hundreds of zombies on the helipad, and moving over there is like trying to cross a traffic area. Adding fuel to the fire, Victor is the only one who can operate the helicopter and he’s still recovering from an operation which means that they will have to wait for quite a few more days. In a bad twist of fate for Manel, Ushakov and his men are able to track them down, busting into the hospital, and looking for them to seize or slay them, whatever fits their scheme. Manel and the other survivors make a frantic attempt to escape by going through an underground tunnel but one is left behind and is killed by a zombie who had been hiding.
Ushakov and his men finally manage to close in on their target, but Manel is quick on his feet and unleashes the zombies hence causing havoc. Manel and his men make a dash towards the helicopter and manage to get away just in the nick of time while Ushakov and straggle along with their crew. As the two men look over their shoulders, Manel’s signal goes up and he manages to get through to his sister. He explains he is on his way to the Canary Islands, but she becomes distraught, asking him not to show up. Trying to ask what the issue is, Manel suddenly noticed jets near him. It can be inferred as the film does not explicitly show it, that by the time Manel was about to land in the Canary Islands, a military chaos had already occurred whereby air strikes were being ordered to contain the virus.
